Now that you have found or are looking for a place to live in Waterloo while you are in school it is probably a good idea to become familiar with your new city. Sure, you can find your way around campus, make it to the local pub, and find the most popular place to eat, however, do you know where the local grocery store is? If you can, that's a good start. The reality is that during their first year of school, many students rarely took any time to explore the city and are lost when it comes to finding essential services. Now that you are moving onto your second year, and are preparing to live in waterloo off campus housing, you need to know where the essentials are located. Now that you live off campus you are going to have to cook your own meals. Transportation:

If you do not have a car there are a number of options to get around town, especially if you have a large amount of groceries. Here are the following options for students who live in Waterloo off campus housing:

Shopping:

There are two main shopping malls for students to fulfill their shopping needs:

  • Conestoga Mall: It is located on King St. N and Kraus Drive

  • Fairview Park Mall: It is located on Fairway Rd. S. and Highway 8
